Grand Blue Treasure Maps and Shovel: Where to Dig

Treasure maps are one of the best early sources of rare gear in Grand Blue, and the shovel that digs them up is also the tool for your first free Devil Fruit.

Getting the shovel

The Rusty Shovel costs 25 gold in Anchor Town. The community Trello places the seller near Almighty Calvin, and every beginner guide we checked tells you to buy it before starting Calvin’s shell quest. It is the only shovel on the Trello so far.

Where treasure maps come from

Treasure maps drop from ordinary NPCs while you fight. One creator got a map just from hitting a Clown enemy, and the leveling guides describe maps as a random drop from any NPC rather than a fixed boss. The in-game Logbook tutorial also has a treasure map entry you can read.

Once you have a map, it marks a dig spot. Go there, equip the shovel and dig to pull up the chest.

Easy and hard maps

Players mention both easy and hard treasure maps, and search data shows a “hard treasure hunt” query, but neither the Trello nor the Fandom wiki has published how the two tiers differ beyond their loot. We only list what the cards and videos confirm.

The shovel and Calvin’s quest
